LOCKPORT — Duesalina Sue Kifer, age 100, of Niagara Falls, NY, died Friday, September 20, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, where she celebrated her 100th birthday on August 28th of this year.

Sue was born August 28, 1913 in Clymer, PA, the daughter of the late Alfredo and Theodora (Mantani) Amici. In 1942 she married Howard Kifer and they resided in Niagara Falls since then. Howard predeceased her on June 14, 1985. Sue had worked as a waitress and candy striper. With the outbreak of WW II, she joined the war effort and worked as a riveter at Bell Aircraft.

Sue was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul, Prince of Peace site in Niagara Falls. She was also a member of Niagara County Home Extension and was known as an excellent seamstress and enjoyed doing crafts.

She is survived by a son, Alfred (Kathy) Kifer of Lewiston; two sisters, Liz (late James) Amato of North Tonawanda and Geraldine "Gerry" (late Louis) Corsaro of Niagara Falls, NY; a sister-in-law, Betty Kifer of Sheffield, PA; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her step-sisters, Mallie Bruno and Mary Corsaro; and her step-brothers, Joseph, Clyde and Frank Corsaro.

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 25, at 10:00 AM in St. Vincent de Paul, St. Leo RC Church Site, Military Rd., Niagara Falls, with the Rev. Msgr. David LiPuma officiating. (Please assemble at church.) Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
