Lois Turner Dees, 59, of Lexington, Ky., passed from this life to eternal life with Jesus Christ on September 20, 2013.

She was born September 6, 1954 in Lafayette to the late Carl F. Lynch, Sr. and of Norma P. Smith Lynch and was a native of Boswell, Ind. She married Dr. Larry Turner on October 23, 1976. He died in the crash of Flight 5191 in Lexington on August 27, 2006. She married Kerwin Dees on June 1, 2012 in Lexington, Ky. He survives.

She is also survived by her three children, Molly (Ken) Loyer, Amy (Eric) Rogier and Clay Turner; her mother; her mother-in-law, Martha Turner and grandchild, Annie Loyer.

She received bachelors and masters degrees in Education from Purdue University. She also graduated from Benton Central High School.

At the time of her death, she taught junior high math at Lexington Christian Academy (LCA). She was a founding board member of The Academy, which merged with Lexington Christian School to form LCA. Lois was a beloved teacher at The Academy and LCA for 28 years. Previously, she taught at public schools in Fowler, Indiana and Lexington, Ky.
