JANEL ANNETTE ADAMS
Janel Annette Adams, 26, of Gladstone, MO, passed away February 15, 2002 at North Kansas City Hospital due to complications during surgery. Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 N. Antioch Rd. She will be buried at the White Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, February 18, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Friends of the Zoo c/o Kansas City Zoological Park, 6700 Zoo Drive, Kansas City, MO 64132.

Those who knew Janel will always remember seeing her smiling broadly and laughing with friends and family and at the things in life that delighted her. Even strangers meeting her for the first time were won over instantly by her warmth and happiness. Janel's energy and good spirits helped her family handle with grace and courage the daily challenges her cerebral palsy presented. Janel overcame many hurdles to attend R.J. Delano School and to earn her high school diploma in 1996, a proud achievement for her and her family. But Janel's favorite times were spent with her family. It was a great day for her when she could be outdoors in the garden with her father, watching an old Western movie on TV with her mother or working with her computer. Most of all, she enjoyed and loved her family as much as they loved her. She is survived by many who loved her. They include her mother and father of the home; her grandmothers; her two sisters and their husbands; and 13 nieces and nephews. They and many others will miss Janel and remember her always. (Arrangements: White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 N. Antioch Rd.)
