Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Dennis James Park, 78, passed away on September 18, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah.

He was born August 30, 1935 in Tooele, Utah to Lowell James and Beth Lee Park. He graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

He married Susanne Farnsworth on June 30, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Dennis enjoyed oil painting. He has painted about sixty oil paintings. He raised pigeons and was Secretary of the Utah Pigeon Club for ten years.

He completed an L.D.S. Mission in the Central States, and served in many leadership positions in the Church. He worked in the baptistry of the Jordan River Temple for twenty-four years. He loved to garden, travel, scouting, and watch "how to" TV shows.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susanne F. Park; children, David James (Sharla) Park, Marchelle (Rex) Kidman, and Lowell Wayne Park; brother, Curtis (Jan) Park; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Valley View Ward Chapel, 5180 West 4700 South, West Valley City. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday evening, September 22, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, and again Monday morning at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
