Jane was born at Ballagaree Braddan, Isle of Man, the 7th of 10 children of Anne CANNELL and Thomas QUIGGIN Sr. She married John N. CANNELL June 11, 1823. They immigrated to NY July 7, 1827 and used the Erie Canal to get to Newburgh OH. Their children were John William CANNELL, William who died young in the Isle of Man, Thomas E. CANNELL, William who died shortly after his family's journey to America, Jane Jennett (Cannell) JUNE, Elizabeth Jane (Cannell) KELLY, Emily Ann (Cannell) (Watson) JUNE, Charles CANNELL, Lousia Ellen (Cannell) (Stone) JENKINS, Henry Albert CANNELL and Eli Wesley CANNELL. They adopted Edward Rodgers CLEVELAND son of Margaret McLEAN and Daniel CLEVELAND.
