Whitman- In this village on Saturday Nov. 4, 876, after a short illness, Eddie, only son remaining son of H.J. and S.C. Whitman, aged 7 years and 4 months.
The loneliness and feeling of desolation experienced by the bereaved family, can only be realized by those who have been called upon to endure the severe trial of having their loved ones taken from their embrace by death.
Little Eddie who was preceded only two weeks by his younger brother, Willie, was a remarkably amiable child, was bright and intelligent beyond his years, and a favorite with the entire community, for he was known by all.
The stricken father and mother and sisters have the heartfelt sympathy of our people in this their great affliction.
