Daniel David Stevens was born on January 27, 1942 in Martinez, California. His father Joseph Stevens was 36 and his mother Alma St John Stevens was 32. He ultimately had six brothers and five sisters. He died on January 30, 1942 just 3 days after his birth. His father Joseph was in Seattle, Wash looking for work at the time of his birth. I recall reading the letters Alma wrote to Joseph about the baby being born. What a tragic event for this family. Not long after, Alma & her children were put aboard the Train by her mother for the long trip to Seattle where this writer was born just a decade later. We do not know what became of baby Daniel.
