John Prescott Forrest was the son of beloved Dalhousie University President Rev. John Forrest and his wife Annie Prescot Duff. He married Lulu Maria Cairns in Montréal, Canada on 4 Dec 1912. He worked in various capacities for the Remington Typewriter Company starting in 1912, working his way up to being the New Jersey state manager. He and Lulu had four children, Helen Duff (b 1913), Mildred Jean (b 1915), Elizabeth Cairns (b 1918) and John Prescott Jr. (b 1923). He and Lulu divorced shortly after the birth of their son, and the family never heard from their father again. Jack remained in New Jersey where he was listed as the partner of "Gerald Liebow" in Vineland, NJ in 1942. He died of a "possible coronary occlusion" in Elmer, New Jersey after living in Vineland, NJ since at least 1942.
