Mr. Bill Sandlin, age 74, of Sulligent, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, AL. Funeral services will be held, Monday, October 17, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Sulligent First Assembly of God, where the body will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 until 9 P.M.
Mr. Sandlin was born June 7, 1937 in Lamar County, AL to the late Jessie Coy and Margie Lee Harper Sandlin. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Sandlin previously worked for McCoy Mfg., WEJ Trucking and was owner / operator of Sandlin Trucking. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, four wheeler riding, spending time with his family and working with his tractor.
