Tom Sandlin, age 72, of Sulligent, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at DCH in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be Held Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Sulligent First Assembly of God, where the body will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, burial will be in Sulligent City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
Tom was born May 14, 1941 in Lamar County, Alabama to the late Jessie Coy and Margie Lee Harper Sandlin. He was a member of Beaverton Church of God Church. Tom enjoyed working in his garden, driving his tractor and mowing grass. He loved to cook and fry pies with his family. Tom enjoyed spending time with grandkids, but most of all he loved his family. He worked for many years driving his "Green Mac" for WEJ Trucking.
