Martha Delphine Kirk TOPEKA — Martha Delphine Kirk, 98, Topeka. formerly of Salina and Concordia, died Tuesday July 27, 2004. Mrs. Kirk was born Martha Delphine Backman on Nov. 30, 1905. in Frankfort. She taught school and was a seamstress. Her husband. George L., died in 1977. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Nelson of Topeka; two sons. James P. of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Gary L. of Orange Park, Fla.; four grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.Private services and burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Samaritan Fund, Aldersgate Village, 7220 Asbury Drive, Topeka 66614. There will be no visitation. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Mid-Town Chapel. 1321 S.W. 10th. Topeka 66604, is handling arrangements.
