Bill was born on July 10, 1943, the son of the late Lincoln and Nellie Finnerty Bailey. Bill was employed by several area farms and also worked for Strope's Wrecking Yard in Towanda. He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Bailey of London; two grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Herbert of Burlington, Alice Dudley of North Carolina, Howard Bailey of Towanda, Mary Luckman and her husband Frank Smith of Towanda, and Sherry Werkheiser of New York; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
Abiding by Bill's request, a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda.
