BODY OF MAN FOUND IN RUINS
The body of George R. Rhodes, about 65 years old, was found about 3 o'clock Monday afternoon in the smoldering ruins of his cabin on Sols Wash, three-fourths of a mile west of here.
Robert C. Storns, justice of the peace, said there is no indication of foul play and that an inquest will not be necessary.
Warren Willis, city marshal, and Harry Hanson, a town employee, found the body when they went to investigate what they thought had been smoke from a brush fire early that morning.
Rhodes apparently was trapped by the fire in the cabin while in bed, as bedding was found clinging to his arms and torso.
Rhodes came to Wickenburg from Prescott and had applied recently for an old-age pension. No survivors are known to local authorities.
