John Lutheran Church in Pomeroy.
She was later confirmed in the
Christian faith on March 24, 1917 at
St. Paul Lutheran Church in
Palmer. She married August F.
Porath on May 25, 1920 at her
parents home in Palmer. They had
three children and have lived in
Newell for the past 45 years. She was
a member of St. Peter Lutheran
Church and the Jolley Neighbor Club
of Newell. She worked as a cook for
many years in Newell restaurants
and also cared for the elderly and
convalescents.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; two brothers Henry and
George; two sisters Molly DeWall
and Minnie Peters; one son-in-law
Floyd Bentz and one grandson Keith
