Early Life: Malin was born November 17, 1913, at Teton, Idaho, to David Rawlin and Venna Leavitt Wilding. He was educated at Sugar City, Ricks College, University of Idaho, Utah State University and Georgia Tech.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: He served in the United States Navy from 1941 to 1946, and was a Lt. Commander. On November 28, 1943, he married Elsie Anna Koehler in New York City, New York; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. They lived in Orem, Utah. She died in 1987. He then married Phyllis H. Clements on September 10, 1988, at Rexburg; they resided there. Malin was a member of the LDS Church. He was a civil engineer with Farmers Home Administration and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Malin Telford Wilding, former resident of Orem, Utah, died Friday, October 19, 1990, in Rexburg, Idaho, from an apparent heart attack. He was 76.
Survived By: His wife, Phyllis, Rexburg, ID; four sons: William Hoeft, Concord, CA; David Wilding, Centerville; Paul Wilding, Sandy; Philip Wilding, Nampa, ID; two daughters: Elizabeth (Glen) Robins, South Jordan; Sharon (David) Downard, Spring, TX; four stepsons: Neil, Michael and William Clements, stepdaughter, Vicki Klingler, all Rexburg, ID; sister, Florence Schwendiman, Bellevue, WA; four brothers: Ray Wilding, Orem; Lee Wilding and Barch Wilding, both of Teton, ID; and Milton Wilton, Sugar City, ID.
