ARCOLA — Ruth E. Reimer, 69, of Lantana, Fla., formerly of Arcola, died at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday (June 17, 1986) at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Atlantis, Fla.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, in St. John's Catholic Church at Arcola. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. Friends may call at the Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. A parish rosary will be held at 8 p.m.
She was born July 24, 1916, in Arcola, a daughter of Andrew J. and Elizabeth Steproe Barnes. She married Jimmie Reimer Nov. 29, 1935. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, James of Shelbyville; one daughter, Mrs. Eileen Welsh of Sullivan; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Mohr of Cape Coral, Fla., and Mrs. Shan Frances Rule of Illiopolis; and nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Reimer formerly owned and operated Ruthie's Flower Shop at Kansas. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church at Lantana, the Lantana Women's Guild, Lioness Club of Lantana, past president of the Altar and Rosary Society of Arcola, the Kansas Women's Club and was a charter member of the Professional Women's Association of Kansas.
