Veteran of the Civil War---CO.H 2nd, N.C. MTD. INF. ---has two stones, one is partially buried in the ground and the other is partially embedded in a tree.
He was the son of William Sprouse and brother of Burniece Sprouse, both of Spartanburg County, SC. There's conflicting birthdates and death years on Terrell Sprouse. There's also a Clayton Terrell Sprouse in the same time era. I'll do my extensive research in the meantime ,I've made a lot of edits, and corrections so far. I did not create this memorial but I am trying to finish it up correctly. His two headstones are confusing, as they appear to be Union Army government issued markers and he didn't serve in any Indian Wars or Spanish American War. I'll figure it out eventually.
