Elizabeth "Liz" Caroline Cook passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the age of 33. She was born on October 13, 1989 in Evansville, Indiana where she grew up on Evansville's West Side.
Liz graduated from Reitz High School in 2008 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Advertising with an Entrepreneurial Minor from University of Southern Indiana.

In previous years, she worked at Tracy Zeller Jewelry and First Bank.

Liz was a member and regular attender at Crossroads Christian Church.

Liz greatly loved her daughter, Ellie. Her namesake gave her a new love she had never experienced before, and Liz cherished their time together. Holding Ellie and watching Disney movies together brought them both great joy.

Liz loved Florida and traveling with her family. She enjoyed being outdoors in the warm sun, by the pool at home, lifeguarding at Burdette during her teenage years, or on her favorite beach, Perdido Key. Summer was her favorite season with fall being a close second because of her October birthday, the Fall Festival, and the colorful beauty God shares during fall. Liz was a sports enthusiast, watching many games. She played soccer for Reitz, Shooting Stars travel team, and coached the Reitz boys cub league with her brother, Andy. Some of her favorite teams were Reitz, Penn State, and she was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, her papaw Mike's favorite team. Liz was a member of Crossroads Christian Church, playing cello in the orchestra in earlier years and helping in the Cafe recently. Liz would want you to know that she loved the Lord and believed that Jesus was her Savior. We all look forward to being reunited again with her in Heaven.

Liz was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Elizabeth Martin and paternal grandfather, Malcolm "Mike" Cook; and step-grandparents, Dan Johns and Wayne and Jane Evans.

Liz is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth "Ellie" Marie McCullough; father, Malcolm Cook and partner, Douglas Adam; mother and stepfather, Matt and Elizabeth "Beth" Johns; sister, Jessica Johns; brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Jamie Johns; brother and sister-in-law, Malcolm "Andrew" and Heather Cook and their son, Malcolm "Ames" Cook V; paternal grandmother, Diane Cook; aunt and uncle, Michele (Cook) and Jim Hopkins and their sons, Corey, Justin, Peyton, and Tanner.

The family would like to thank extended family and dedicated friends for the love, compassion and support given through this trying time. Most of all, we appreciate everyone's prayers.

Visitation with the family will occur on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Phil Heller, with a 1:00 p.m. visitation prior to the service.
