For 12 years, Bob worked for the N&W Railroad, but law enforcement was his passion. He started as a Town of Victoria Police Officer, later worked for Nottoway and Buchanan Correctional Facilities and retired from Red Onion State Prison as a Lieutenant. Bob faithfully served his country in the U. S. Navy and was a member of VFW Post 9954. He was a member of the Burkeville Baptist Church, past member of the Nottoway Emergency Squad and former board member of Richland Hospital.
