Anna Louise "Flynn" Duckworth
Mrs. John Duckworth pioneer in Sanilac County, Michigan died at 86, on December 31,1952 in
Brown City Michigan, Dec 31- Mrs. John Duckworth, 86, Of Flynn Township, Died early today
at the home of her daughter Mrs. Edwin (Ada) Mahaffy, after a long illness.
She was the former Anna Louise Flynn and was born on Dec. 17, 1866, in Flynn Township
which was named for her father, the late Thomas Flynn.
She married John Duckworth, Nov.4,1883,in Yale, Michigan. They lived on a farm near here
until Mr. Duckworth died March 4, 1952.
Mrs. Duckworth was a member of Elk Chapeter #176, OES, and a member of the WSCS of
Omard Methodist Church. She is survived by 3 sons,John of Decker Michigan; George of
Jacksonville Flordia; and Harry of Peck, Michigan;4 daughters Mrs. John (Rachel) Tuer, Port
Huron, Michigan, Mrs. Edwin (Ada) Mahaffy, and Mrs. John E (Hannah) Young of Brown City,
Michigan; and Mrs. Hugh (Gertrude) Graham of East Jordon, Michigan; 31 grandchildren,50
great grandchildren,and1 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:0p.m. Saturday, in Omard Methodist Church. Rev. Peter Bell
Pastor, will officiate. Six grandsons will act as pallbearers. Burial will be in Omard Cemetery.
Remains will be in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Mahaffy.
