Otto Prymek, son of Ignac and Josephine Prymek was born January 12, 1881, on a farm near Cuba, Kan., and departed this life February 23, 1947, at Cuba, at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 11 days.
His early life was spent on the farm which he operated in manhood until the spring of 1911 when he entered the furniture and undertaking business in Cuba with his father, taking over the business in 1917 and continuing its operation until his death.
On June 26, 1912, he was united in marriage to Miss Frances Celoud, moving to Cuba in 1916, where he resided until his death.
He leaves to mourn his departure , his wife, Frances; one niece, Elsie Lesovsky of El Monte, Cal., whom he and his wife took into their home at the age of 8 years in 1918 and reared to womanhood; also her two sons, Robert and Larry who always fondly called him "Grandpa"; three sisters, Alice Moravek of Topeka, Albina Brosh and Rose Brosh of Montrose. Colo., two brothers, Ernest of LaJara, Colo., and Fred of Cuba; and a host of other relatives and friends. His parents and three sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, February 26, 1947, by the Rev. Amos Rundus and Joseph Krhounek at the Presbyterian Church in Cuba. Interment was in (Kopsa) National Bohemian Cemetery.
