Barbara Jean (Dial) Clayton, 80, widow of the late Harold J. Clayton, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
Born July 13, 1933 in Spartanburg, Barbara was a daughter of the late Shell and Edna Ruth (Hadden) Dial.
A graduate of Fairforest High School, class of 1951, she was retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after 17 years of service. Barbara participated in the Adult One Sunday school class and was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Robert Dial and his wife, Jo Ann of Spartanburg; and her sister, Kay D. Daniels and her husband, Roger of Columbia, SC.
She was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey L. Clayton, who died September 5, 2013; and two brothers, Larry A. and David W. Dial.
Graveside services for Barbara and her son, Jeff, were held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In remembrance of Barbara, memorial contributions could be made to the Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369.
