Vance--Yesterday morning, at the residence of Col. Robertson Topp, Capt. Samuel Vance. Funeral services will be performed in Calvary Church at 12 o'clock today, and the remains borne to the Memphis and Louisville Railroad Depot for transportation to the family vault at Nashville. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend. Carriages will be at command, both at the residences of Col. Topp and in front of Holst's. on Main Street.
Age 45 years, 2 months. Single. Cause of death: consumption. Source: Register of Deaths.
Colonel Robertson Topp married Captain Vance's sister, Elizabeth Little Vance.
