Dale Lawson, 73, formerly of Dora, died Tuesday August 6, 2002, in Hillsboro, Ohio.

He was born in Dora, Missouri on December 7, 1928, the son of Leslie and Esther (nee Hailey) Lawson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Edwin and Lewis.

He is survived by his wife of 48 year, Twila Sue (Moritz) Lawson; a son, Stephen and wife Stephanie, of Mason, Ohio; a daughter, Catherine and husband George Beck of Chillicothe, Ohio; three grandchildren, Christina and Matthew Beck, and Cara Lawson; and brothers-in-law, Francis, John, and Phillip Moritz.

Dale was a former school teach in rural Missouri during the late 1940's, a U.S. Army veteran from 1951-1953, and he worked as an FDA Inspector beginning in 1958, retiring in 1987 as a Supervisory Inspector in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University.

He enjoyed his garden, was an avid collector of Depression glass and a voracious reader.
