Ruth was a homemaker who nourished her family with love and songs - and, of course, Swedish pancakes and meatballs.
Ruth will be buried next to her predeceased husband, Dr. Irving F. Ahlquist, in the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
Ruth is survived by her son, Stephen; daughter-in-law, Deborah; grandchildren, John, Andrew (and partner, Andrew G. Lewis), Elisabeth, and Joel.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 13 at 10 a.m., at the North Campus of EvFree Church Fullerton, 2904 N. Brea Blvd. #190, Fullerton, CA. Donations in her memory may be made to the EvFree Church Fullerton, 2801 N. Brea Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92835, for its pastoral scholarship fund, to Habitat for Humanity.
