Early Life: Kleva was born February 26, 1920, in Logan, Utah, a daughter of Vivian E. and Emma Jean Liston Fountin. They moved to Salt Lake City and later, to Orem, where she spent her youth. She attended Sharon Elementary, Lincoln Jr. and Sr. High, as well as, Brigham Young University.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On May 4, 1941, Kleva married John W. Lamb Jr. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 3, 1960. They lived in Price where he helped survey the township of Dragerton, Utah, which is now known as East Carbon; southeast of Price. They later moved to Provo, where they had two daughters. Kleva's hobby was sewing dresses for her antique dolls. She enjoyed collecting antiques, going to Deseret Industries and spending time with her family - making the best caramels and chip dip. She shared her cooking and sewing talents by assisting in Linda's catering and Diana's sewing businesses. She served in the 4-H Progra and in many positions in the LDS Church including: visiting teacher, librarian and as a temple worker with her husband. She was a secretary for several fruit marketing associations and as a credit reporter for Provo Credit Bureau for many years. She spent the last nine months in Carbon County with family and friends. Her last residence was at the Heirloom Inn while convalescing from a fall. The family would like to thank Dr. Karen Radley, Parkdale Care Center, Heirloom Inn, Rocky Mountain Homecare Pro Rehab and the Castleview Hospital doctors and staff for their kindness and excellent care. They treated beloved Kleva with dignity and respect. Kleva Fountin Lamb died November 8, 2008, at the Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah. She was 88.
