MISS JANE ADAMS DIES
She Was A Retired High School Latin Teacher.

Miss Jane Adams, Armour Plaza apartments, 1220 Armour, a retired high school Latin teacher, died yesterday at the Osteopathic hospital. She was born at Shelbina, Mo., and moved here to become a member of the staff of the old Central high school in 1899.
Miss Adams taught at the Northeast high school from 1913 until 1926 and then at the Pasco high school until she retired about five years ago. She also taught Spanish.
She was graduated from the University of Missouri and received a Master's degree there. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, national scholastic fraternity. She was a member of the Classical Club of Greater Kansas City, the Woman's City club, the University Women's club, the Central Presbyterian church, the Retirants club, an organization of former school board employees, and at one time was president of the Association of High School Women.
Miss Adams was one of the founders of the Gold Star scholarship fund for needy children and was a former member of the board of directors.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Henry J. Gerling, St. Louis and other relatives at Shelbina. Services and burial will be at Shelbina.
