On Friday evening September 6, 2013 Ashley passed away after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Ashley spent her last days at her home in Fort Wayne, under the loving care of her family and friends. Ashley was a fort Wayne girl her entire life. She graduated from Wayne High School in 2004, where she distinguished herself in the ROTC program.
She was the daughter and first born child of Trinda and Dennis Myers. Her father proceeded her Ashley in death in 2008. Ashley was the mother of three young boys, who were the light of her life. Ashley was a daughter, sister, granddaughter and faithful friend, but her greatest accomplishment was being a mother.
Ashley is survived by her sons Gabriel, 5: Alexander, 1; and Lucas, 5 months; Mother Trinda (Wright) Myers; Brother Aaron Myers (Angela); Grandparents Edward & Marjorie Wright; Uncles Ray Wright, Bob Wright, Chris Wright, John Wright (Jennifer), Aunt Nancy Brown (Rick); Cousins D'Arcy Roberts, Kathryn Gill, Whitney Wright, Edwards Wright III, Kristin Wright, Matthew Wright, Nicholas Wright and Shelby Wright. As well as close family friends Melissa (Sunny) Safford and Todd Barrand.
Services will be held at Klaehn, Fahl, Melton Funeral Home at 7pm on Thursday September 12, 2013 viewing will begin at 5pm. Ashley will be laid to rest at Lindenwood Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the family &will be managed through Midwest America Federal Credit union. Make check payable to Trinda Myers, with "Ashley's Army" noted in the memo section.There is also and "Ashley's Army" fundraiser taking place at the Waynedale United Methodist Church 2501 Church st. Sunday Sept. 15 from 1pm-5pm. The benefit will help with final expenses and the children's needs.
