Charles M. Butler, 75, of 1141 Milton Ave. died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital.

A resident of Springfield for many years, Mr. Butler was born in Kentucky, the son of Charles B. and Elizabeth Resch Butler.

His wife, Emma, died July 25, 1972.

Mr. Butler was employed by Sangamo Electric for many years, retiring in 1962.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence A. Yeaman and Mrs. Charles A. Fahrenbacher, both of Springfield; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Mrs. Thelma Wiest, of Louisville, Ky.; two half-brothers, Fred and Louis Stoll, both of Louisville, Ky.

Services were at Staab Funeral Home.

Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
