Miss Mary Louise Ludington

Miss Mary Louise Ludington, familiarly called by relatives and friends "May" or "Mamie", died on Saturday, July 5, 1919, at the Post Graduate Hospital, New York City, after undergoing an operation.

She was the eldest child and daughter of the late Charles H. and Josephine Noyes Ludington, and was born in New York City, where the greater part of her life had been spent. Miss Ludington is survived by two brothers and two sisters: Charles H. Ludington, Secretary of the Curtis Publishing Company, Philadelphia, Pa., and William Ludington, of New Haven, Conn.; Miss Katherine Ludington, of New York City and Lyme, Conn., and Helen, wife of a Mr. Rotch, who resides in this State. Deceased was a niece of the late Miss Lavinia E. Ludington and Miss Dehu[?] Ludington and in her girlhood days was an occasional visitor at the old family homestead in this village. She was a great granddaughter of Col. Henry Ludington, who was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.

Mr. and Mrs. William Weir received a telegram on Monday announcing her death.

The funeral services were held at the Ludington country home, Lyme, Conn., and the burial was beside her parents in a cemetery there.
