Robert Gattis, 72, of Mulberry, died Friday, October 22, 2004. Mr. Gattis was a native of Lincoln County, the son of the late Jack and Floy Gattis. He worked as a painter and a roofer and was a member of the Community Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Jewell Scott Gattis of Mulberry; a son, Joe Brady Gattis and wife, Michelle, of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Joshua Lee Gattis and Chasity Dawn Gattis; two sisters, Mary Gattis Sullivan and husband, J. D. of Mulberry and Marie Gattis Campbell of Fayetteville; four brothers, Joe B. Gattis and wife, Evelyn, of Fayetteville, Melvin Gattis and wife, Mary Ann, of Howell, Duke Gattis and wife, Sadie, of Kentucky, and Billy Gattis and wife, Ann, of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gattis is preceded in death by a brother, James Gattis, and one sister, Linda Gattis. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Jeans officiating. Interment was in Mulberry Cemetery.
