Florence was first married to Egbert John Carson. Florence Dunfield moved from Quyon Quebec to Winnipeg where she married Egbert Carson in 1906. They journeyed to China where they were missionaries. After his death she returned to Canada and lived briefly in Charleville, her late husband's home near Prescott, then back to Winnipeg. She returned to China in 1917 with her children. She married James Neave in 1922 in Rockwood. James and Florence eventually retired in Rockwood to be near her sisters, Lena Dunfield Jolliffe, Edna (Ted) Dunfield Guild and Alice Dunfield Bell. They and their husbands are all buried in Rockwood Cemetery.
