Early Life: As a young girl, she lived on the family farm in southern Alberta and was educated in local schools, she enjoyed sports, including softball, track and other activities. She loved horses and rode one to school often.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: In 1938, Loretta married her sweetheart, Elias Fay Little, in the Cardston Alberta LDS Temple. They moved to Missoula in 1952, where Loretta enjoyed being a homemaker. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served others faithfully in many different positions. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, sewing and most of all, her family. In December 1981, they were called on a mission for the Church to the Singapore Mission, serving in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore, which was one of the great highpoints of their lives. She was loved dearly by her large family who came home often to see her. Loretta Lowry Little, of Missoula, passed away on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at home of natural causes, surrounded by loving family. Loretta was 91 years of age.
Survived By: Her husband, Elias "Lyle;" daughters, Joan (Austin) of Billings; Bonnie (Ron) of St. George, Utah; Sherry (Bill) of Sandy, Utah; and a son, Reed (Saundra) of Missoula; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
