Much of the census information from the mid to late 1800's have Sophia Noe and Moses James Sr as the parents of Moses Jr, Albert, Katy, Nelson, Delia, Mary, William and Alfred (from the 1870 census). However in the late 1890's to early 1900's it appears some of the James family including Moses & Sophia and their oldest son Moses switched back to the name Jacques. Moses Jr had a son Wilfred Jacques who had a shaving mug with his name as Wilfred James engraved on it. Most information shows Wilfred born as Wilfred James in 1884. However sometime around the turn of the century the switch was made back to Jacques. Wilfred's marriage certificate in 1909 from L'Asumption Church in Millbury, MA has him using the last name Jacques. The shaving mug has been passed down 3 more generations.
