Freddie W. Luckstead, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 1993, at Manor Care in Cedar Rapids, after a long illness.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 23, at Hayden Funeral Home in Wyoming. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, at First Presbyterian Church in Wyoming, with the Rev. Fred Gates officiating. Burial will be in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa.
Freddie William Luckstead was born September 24, 1916, in Wyoming, the son of George and Wilhelmine (Ehler) Luckstead. He graduated from Wyoming High School in 1934. He married Velda Edwina McGuire on September 29, 1937, in Wyoming. Together they farmed near Wyoming, until they retired.
Surviving are his wife, Velda; one son, Dr. Eugene (Margaret) Luckstead of Fort Worth, TX; two daughters, Gae Ann Steuri of Hiawatha and Gayle Bobst of Des Moines; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
