George F. Luckstead, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 1964, at John McDonald Hospital in Monticello.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 25, at Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming, with the Rev. Robert Ahrens officiating. Pallbearers were Raymond Holtz, Peter Stevers, Martin Petersen, Frank Fritz, Acel Catlett and Art Holub. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa.

George Frederick Luckstead was born December 22, 1880, in Wyoming, the son of Frederick and Wilhelmine (Holtz) Luckstead. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He received his education in the county schools. He married Wilhelmine Margaretha Ehler on September 23, 1914, in Wyoming. Together they farmed east of Wyoming, until they retired and moved to Wyoming in 1939.

Surviving are his wife, Minnie; one son, Freddie (Velda) Luckstead of Wyoming; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Matilda Ehler of Monticello and Lena (Gus) Von Sprecken of Wyoming; and one sister-in-law, Anna Luckstead of Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son in infancy, two sisters, Ida Luckstead and Anna Pankow, one brother, William Luckstead and one brother-in-law, Nicolaus Ehler.
