Funeral services were held here Monday at 10 o'clock in Turrentine-Jackson Chapel for Rev. Ernest W. Massey, who died Friday at his home in Shreveport, La. He was a Baptist minister, who formerly lived in McKinney and was a native of Collin County. He passed away after a brief illness. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Osburn Funeral Chapel, Shreveport, after which the body was brought to McKinney. Interment was in the Pecan Grove Cemetery. His wife Mrs. Correne Massey, a daughter, Mrs. Ernestine Brown of Shreveport, sister, Mrs. Roland Jones, of Anna, and two brothers, Elmer Massey of Prosper and Gabe Massey of Arlington, survive. --The Courier-Gazette (McKinney, Texas); Monday, 24 Dec 1962; pg. 8
