Patricia daughter Patrick W. and Marcella A. (O'Brien) McManaman, was born June 2, 1927, at Spalding, Nebraska.
Patricia was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Spalding, Nebraska and graduated from Spalding (NE.) Academy. Following high school, she attended St. Catherine's College of Kentucky, College of St. Mary and worked as a Medical Technician at Bryan Memorial Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska.
On September 3, 1949, Patricia married Harry E. Cockerill at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Spalding, Nebraska.
They made their home on a farm south of Spalding, Nebraska in March of 1950, where they ranched, farmed and raised their children.
Over the years, Patricia also worked as a substitute Medical Technician at St. John's Hospital, Spalding, Nebraska and as a Teacher's Aide at Spalding (NE.) Academy.
Patricia was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, St. Anne's Altar Society, American Legion Auxiliary, Study Club and various other women's organizations in Spalding, Nebraska.
She spent countless hours as the Spalding (NE.) Academy Alumni Newsletter organizer and coordinated various fund raising events. She opened her home to others as "The Cockerill Roost" Bed & Breakfast and enjoyed providing service to others. Above all, her faith and her family were most important to her.
Survivors are: sons, Ed (Allison) Cockerill of Spalding, Nebraska, Rick (Jeanine) Cockerill of Omaha, Nebraska, Mark (Marcia) Cockerill of Spalding, Nebraska and Brian (Angie) Cockerill of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughters, Karen (Mike) Seim of Kearney, Nebraska, Janet (Roger) Walker of Omaha, Nebraska, Maureen (Bill) Thome of Spalding, Nebraska Jennifer (Adam) Smith of Honey Creek, Iowa; 20 grandchildren: 9 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Harry E. Cockerill; son, Daniel P. Cockerill and daughter Ann.
Burial was in St. Michael's Church Cemetery, Spalding, Nebraska.
