Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of Virginia Coleman Bowen and the late Harold "Pee Wee" Bowen. She was a master barber in the Fort Jackson barber shop.
Survivors besides her mother of Sumter include one son, Stephen C. Branham of Columbia; one daughter, Sandal S. Branham of Tampa, Fla.; one grandson, Stephen Christian Branham II; and three brothers, Ronald L. Bowen, Donald L. Bowen and Johnny L. Bowen, all of Sumter.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Coleman officiating.
Private burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at 4080 Broad St.
