Susanna Schamann was born in Switzerland in 1836 and emigrated to the United States in 1857. She married Andreas Florin on May 2, 1859 in Glenko, Buffalo County, Wisconsin. He was a farmer in Montana Township, Buffalo County. Andrew and Susan had nine children. She was living with her daughter, Mary, and son-in-law, August Hitt, in Alma at the time of her death in 1916. Burial took place in the Montana Methodist Cemetery.
