Ervin E. Franks, 77 of 825 17th St. Moline, died today at Lutheran Hospital.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary Moline, with the Rev. Jack Lavino, of associated pastor of Bethel Assembly of God Church, Rock Island, officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Visitation is 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mortuary.

Mr. Franks was born in Houston, Miss., where he married Alger Mae King in July 1926.

He worked as a maintenance man at the LeClaire Hotel, and later as a maintenance worker for the Moline Park Department, retiring in 1969.

Survivors include his widow; six daughters, Mrs. Colleen Williams, Mrs. Betty Buchanan, Mrs. Linda Nache, Mrs. Dorothy Lopez, Mrs. Jackie Lopez, and Mrs. Shelia Rogers, all of Moline; two sons, William I, Erie, and David G. Mountain Home, Ark.; 31 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Weed, Okalona, Miss., and Mrs. Sidney Davis, Jackson, Tenn.
