OBITUARY
BARTON~James Barton, of 409 Spring Mill Street, died Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock after having been ill for several months. Mr. Barton was in failing health when his grocery store was damaged by fire February 10 and his demise is thought to have been hastened by this disaster. The deceased was unconscious from Saturday morning until the hour of his death. He passed away quietly without the least evidence of pain or struggle. Mr. Barton was 85 years of age and was born in Kent, England. When he was 30 years of age he and Mrs. Barton emigrated to America, where they have resided since. Mrs. Barton, who celebrated her 85th birthday Sunday, Will M. Barton, a druggist at the corner of Third and Main Streets; James W. Barton of Buffalo; Charles E. Barton of Norwalk, and Mrs. E. J. Fuller of Binghamton, N.Y. survive the husband and father. Funeral services Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Dr. D.J. Meese of the First Presbyterian Church.
