OBITUARY
BARTON~Just as the clock struck six Tuesday evening, Mrs. Jane Barton of 409 Spring Mill Street, passed peacefully into the sleep of death. Her illness had extended only a little over a week and she was unconscious during the last few hours.
Had Mrs. Baron lived until the first of next March, she would have reached the age of 90 years, having been born in Oxford, England in 1818. July 8, 1839 at St. George Chapel, London she was united in marriage with James Barton who died four years ago. Eight children were born to them of whom four survive, they being, Mrs. Emma J. Fuller, of Binghamton, N.Y., James W. Barton, of Buffalo, Charles E. Barton of Norwalk and Will M. Barton of this city.
Mrs. Barton was an active member of the First Presbyterian church as long as she was able to attend. She was a devout Christian woman and lived a pure and noble life.
Funeral from the home Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. D.J. Meese of the First Presbyterian Church.
