James Billy Bardwell, 69, of Cleveland died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto in Southaven.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville with Rev. Robert Haney officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville.

He was an electrician and a veteran of the Army. He served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Edward and Ruby Mitchell Bardwell; brothers, David Bardwell and Sammy Bardwell; sisters, Elsie Hanks and Patsy Edwards; and a son.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Woods Bardwell of Cleveland; son, John Bardwell of Hope, Ark.; stepdaughter, Frances Mullen of Booneville; stepsons, Clay Mullen and Robert Mullen, both of Paragould, Ark.; brothers, William Bardwell of Indiana and Gerald Bardwell of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
