PUJCASKI — Elmer William "Fudd" Hoosier, age 59, of Route 1, Box 235 (Veterans Hill), Pulaski passed away Tuesday morning, January 27, 1998 in the Pulaski Community Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Born October 26, 1938 in Smyth County, Virginia, he is the son of the late Levi Hoosier and Laura Hoffman Hoosier. he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Teena Kay Hoosier and two brothers, Jack Hoosier and Charlie Sheets.

He was a self-employed plumbing contractor.

Surviving are his three daughters: Mrs. Bill (Diane) Medley of Pulaski, Mrs. Tony (Kathy) Newton of Pulaski, and Mrs. Chris (Janice) Goins of Pulaski. Also surviving are his son and daughter- in-law, Wayne and Tina Hoosier of Pulaski. Nine grandchildren: Teena Marie Medley, Billy William Medley, Jessica Marie Hoosier, Amy Sarah Hoosier, Andrew William Hoosier, Jenna Brooke Hoosier, Gloria Beth Newton, Charles (Charlie) Levi and Megan Nichole Coins. Four sisters: Nancy Cole of Pulaski, Clara Sayers of Hillsville, Blender Hash of Gulf, North Carolina, and Charlotte Shaw of Fries, Virginia. One brother: Paul Hoosier of Fries, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at ll a.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Allen Harman and Pastor Randall Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is in charge of arrangements.
