Charlie Victor Lee Sheets, 78, of Rt. 2, Dublin, died Saturday in the Highland Manor Nursing Home in Dublin.

Born Aug. 9, 1913 in Smyth County, he was the son of the late Charlie Sheets and Laura Isabelle Huffman Sheets Hoosier.

He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are his wife, Blanche Virginia Campbell Sheets of Dublin; three sons, Billy Lee Sheets of Pulaski, Tommy Jackson Sheets of Hillsville, James Calvin Sheets Sr. of Radford; four sisters, Mrs. Alex (Nancy) Cole, Clara Sayers, both of Pulaski, Mrs. Claude (Blender) Hash of Goldston, N.C., Charlotte Shaw of Florida; three brothers, Jack Hoosier of Baltimore, Md., Paul Hoosier of Fries, Elmer William Hoosier of Pulaski; five grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Glenn Pudding officiating. Interment will follow in the Azen Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Konnarock. Visiting will be anytime Tuesday after 1 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Boulevard, Pulaski.
