Early Life: Edwin was born December 5, 1901, in Layton, Utah, son of Edwin Cleveland and Emma Jane Smith Dibble. He was raised in Layton and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Edwin married Ruth Emily Gollaher and had two children: William Edwin Dibble and Jane Dibble Valantine; four grandchildren: Diane Valantine Rappaport (Washington, D.C.), William Roy Valantine (El Cajon, CA), Kathy Valantine Stepp (Portland, OR), and John Edwin Valantine (Orange, CA); and four great-grandchildren. He worked for the General Electric Company for over 30 years, retiring in Glendale, California. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Stake President and Stake Patriarch. Edwin Smith Dibble passed away September 12, 2003, in Provo. He was just two months short of being 102 years old.
