Susan Jeanne Clarke DeVincent

Early Life: Susan was born August 13, 1951, in Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Illinois; the daughter of John Edgar Clarke and Jeanne Florence Leighton Lundberg Clarke. She grew up in Westport, Connecticut, graduating from LaSalle College in Newton, Massachusetts. She also attended Brigham Young University.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On December 18, 1975, Susan married Wayne Steven DeVincent in the Salt Lake Temple. Susan was blessed with an abundance of talents and gifts which she generously shared with those she knew. She followed in her mother's footsteps as she excelled in anything artistic, including: painting, sculpture and interior design. Susan was an animal lover, especially of horses. She loved gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Susan was a very special, sweet spirit. She was always concerned with each and every family member and friend, as individuals. She made time for each one and always knew their needs and desires. Her goal was to make those she loved happy and to ensure they were each able to return to our Heavenly Father. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served in many callings in the Primary, Relief Society and Young Women organizations. Susan will be greatly missed by her family and friends, until they meet again. Beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Susan Jeanne Clarke DeVincent, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2007.
Survived By: Her husband, Wayne, of Lindon; three sons and one daughter: Adam Leighton (Brittany) DeVincent, of Pleasant Grove, UT; Paul Matthew DeVincent, of Provo; Elder Robert Stephen DeVincent, serving in the Paraguay, Ascencion Mission; and Katherine Ann (Daniel) Moss, of American Fork, UT; her parents, John Edgar Clarke, of Lindon and Jeanne Clarke, of Provo; three grandchildren; a sister, Karen Ann Clarke, of Orem; and a brother, John Matthew Clarke, of Provo.
