Right after high school, she entered the United States Air Force and served with the 1608 Air Terminal Squadron at Charleston Air Force Base. From Charleston, she went to Schilling Air Force Base, where she met the love of her life, John Mead. They were married in 1962, and moved to Graham, Washington. They later retired to Missoula, Montana. Barbara Elizabeth Mead, of Missoula, Montana, died Friday, August 23, 2013. Barbara was 76.
Survived By: Her son, Mark Mead and his wife Debbie; her daughter, Lisa Green and her husband Arthur Green; sister, Norma "Cookie" Bolding; three grandchildren: Elizabeth Hamilton, Ashley Green and Anthony Green; and six great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Andrew, Jordyn, John, Jaida and Henry.
