He was united in marriage on September 6, 1981 in Thayer, Missouri, to Jacalyn Annette James.
He is survived by his wife, Jacalyn Lowther of the home in Thayer, Missouri; two sons, Matthew Wayne Lowther and Michael James Lowther, both of Ozark, Missouri; two daughters, Amy Elizabeth Lowther of Ozark, Missouri, and Melissa Ann Lowther of Springfield, Missouri; one grand-daughter, Hadley Sanders; his father, Lawrence Lowther and wife, Cathy of Thayer, Missouri; his mother, June Emery of Thayer, Missouri; one brother, Tracy Lowther and wife, Shawnee of Thayer, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Dean Lowther; and step-dad, Mike Emery.
Clay worked as a Service Technician for the telephone company for many years. He loved hunting and fishing, and very much enjoyed working the land.
He was a believer in the Christian faith, giving his heart to the Lord twelve years before his passing. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. He will truly be missed by all.
